Don’t get me wrong… it’s not that I hate Mark Wahlberg. I’ve liked him in several movies. He’s a likeable guy… though not much of an actor, let’s be honest. What you see on the screen is who he appears to be in real life, most of the times (in terms of mannerisms and such). Which is why I don’t see him as anything but a terrible fit for the movie version of Nathan Drake.
For those who missed it, Wahlberg configured during an MTV Interview that he’s going to be working with David O. Russell again for the on screen version of Uncharted. Wahlberg and Russell worked on Three Kings and The Fighter, and they’re trying to work Joe Pesci (as an uncle) and Robert DeNiro (as Drake’s father) into the script.
Don’t even get me started on those casting choices.
No Nathan-Nathan? :’( Sad, sad panda…
I am very disappoint that Nathan Fillion is not playing Nathan Drake. Very, very disappoint.
Marky Mark just doesn’t fit this role. At all.
I feel like David Boreanaz could lift it as well, but Nathan Fillion was my first choice too. I understandeth not this casting.
