The numbers are in for the Kinect, and top spot goes to Kinect Sports at 143k units sold, followed closely by Dance Central with 132.5k sold. Kinect Adventures did sell 480k copies, however as it comes with the Kinect, which sold 475k units, it’s not technically the best selling Kinect game.

I only purchased Dance Central for the wife, and of course, Kinect Adventures came bundled with the Kinect. I will be renting some of the other titles to test them, however truth be told, as I’ve mentioned on our podcasts several times, this unit was purchased mainly for the wife, as there are no games which interest me personally at the moment.
Hopefully that will change soon.
The problem that I see is that it’s really hard to make so called hc-games for this. It’s hard to do it on motion controler like wii or move but to do on kinetic… well it’s gonna have to be some small miracle I think.
Still I hope for the best and more I hope that this and all those motion controlers will make a new era some day soon and maybe we are one step closer to be INSIDE the real game in the future.
I think it can be done… it will just require a lot more ingenuity on the part of the devs.
Case in point for racing games. People say you need buttons in order to play a racing game.
While I’m not going to disagree with that, how about putting the buttons on the screen… on the sides. And then as we need to do something, we put our hand up and touch the button.
Need to brake, have a sliding button on the side that you can slowly drag up or down, while keeping your hand on the imaginary steering wheel.
Need to shift? Put a fucking clutch on the screen that you have to move to the side and up or down as you do with a real stick-shift.
It can be done. Devs just have to learn to think outside of the box.

VGAs Recap
The VGAs, as expected, were painful to watch… however the choices in nearly each category will spur a lot of discussions… mostly because so many were wrong.
